Varun Dhawan to headline another remake?
The actor has previously starred in Coolie No. 1 and Judwaa remake and will be seen in Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel series Indian spin-off.
Now, as per the latest ETimes report, Varun Dhawan is in-talks for the Hindi remake of Atlee Kumar‘s 2016 Tamil blockbuster – Theri. Reportedly, the Hindi version will also be directed by Atlee.
The Tamil original had starred Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead and was a huge commercial hit.
“Varun has met Atlee and they will soon be working together on the Hindi remake of a South film. There’s a good chance that the film may be Vijay and Samantha starrer ‘Theri’.”
– a source revealed to the daily.
However, there is no official confirmation yet.
The official synopsis of the Tamil orginal reads – “DCP Vijaya Kumar goes into hiding to bring up his daughter in a safe environment. However, after her life is threatened by deadly gangsters, he must face his past to protect his daughter.”
Ont he work front, Varun Dhawan will soon start shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s next. He also has movies like Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Bhediya, Ekkis & more lined up ahead of him.
