Parineeti Chopra was supposed to star in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming directorial – Animal.
As per the latest buzz, the actress has reportedly chosen Imtiaz Ali‘s next over the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer.
If this ETimes report is to be believed, Parineeti has supposedly come on board as the female lead for Imtiaz Ali’s much-awaited movie ‘Chamkila’ – the biopic of the legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila.
As the report further suggest, Parineeti has allegedly opted out of Ranbir’s ‘Animal’ as the dates are clashing between these two projects.
“Parineeti is going to work with Imtiaz Ali for the first time in her career as the heroine in the ace director’s next, ‘Chamkila’. It is a huge moment for her because she has always wanted to creatively collaborate with the visionary director.”

“She has to get into prep immediately for the shoot and unfortunately due to this development, she won’t be able to shoot for ‘Animal’ as there is a major overlap of dates between the two films. So, RK and Pari fans will have to wait a little bit longer for a new project to bring them together on screen.”

On the work front, Parineeti has Sooraj Barjatya’s Uunchai, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher and Ribhu Dasgupta’s (of The Girl On The Train fame) yet-to-be-titled film.
