Netflix is all set to bring you yet another gripping women-centric web series titled Mai.
Directed by Atul Mongia and Anshai Lal, the revenge drama features Sakshi Tanwar in the lead.
‘Mai’ is produced by Clean Slate Filmz (founded by Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Ssharma) and also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Raima Sen, Vivek Mushran, and Prashant Narayanan in pivotal roles.
Sakshi plays the role of middle-class wife Sheel – a mother and a volunteer nurse – whose daughter Supriya (played by Wamiqa Gabbi) is run over by a truck right in front of her eyes. In the process to seek justice, Sheel learns that her daughter was raped.
The official synopsis of ‘Mai’ reads – “A mom in a world of crime. Will she thrive? Will she survive? When Sheel’s daughter is ruthlessly murdered, she sets out to avenge her death. Filled with white collar crimes and ugly politics, the path she is on is definitely not an easy one!”
