Bollywood celebrities Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar recently tied the knot in a private ceremony.
The couple dated for a few years and decided to spend their life together. However, Shibani also opened up about how Farhan proposed to her.
The couple got married at Javed Akhtar-Shabana Azmi’s farmhouse in Khandala on February 19, 2022.
As per reports, while speaking to a magazine, Shibani revealed how Farhan proposed to her in the Maldives. She said, “It was a very unexpected proposal. I had no idea it was going to happen. We had not even discussed it. But this is again Farhan, when he decides something, he does it. I was never the kind who wanted to get married and have all that jazz. But when Farhan asked, it just felt right in the moment and after the initial shock, I said a yes.”
After the private ceremony, Shibani and Farhan had a registered marriage in Mumbai on February 21. The actress got the wedding date inked on her arm. It is in Roman numerals – XXI.II.XXII.
On February 23, Farhan and Shibani officially shared pictures from their wedding in Khandala. The actor wrote, “A few days ago, @shibanidandekar & I celebrated our union and we are deeply grateful to all those who did respect our need for privacy on the day. The celebration, however, is incomplete without sharing some precious moments with you and seeking your blessings as we begin our journey across the skies of time, together. With love from us to you.”
