The 29-year-old made her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar‘s movie Student Of The Year in 2012.

Alia Bhatt was only 19 years old when she made her debut opposite Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra in Karan Johar directorial – SOTY.

Recently, during an interview with a daily, the soon-to-be-mommy revealed that she was paid to the tune of Rs 15 LAKHS for playing the role, ‘Shanaya’.

Talking about her pay check, Alia added said –

“I went and deposited the cheque to my mother and very nicely I said, ‘Mumma you handle the money and till date, my mother handles my money. I don’t know how much money I have in my bank account.”
