Akshay Kumar was recently seen in Ram Setu.
Now, the actor is said to be playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his next.
As per Peeping Moon, Akshay is set to make his Marathi movie debut in Mahesh Manjrekar‘s upcoming directorial – Veer Daudale Saat.
Veer Daudale Saat will follow the journey of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s seven extraordinarily brave Maratha officers in 1674, who had the sole aim of bringing Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of Swarajya to reality.
Talking about his role, Akshay told the media,
“I am playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. I got the role because of Raj Thackeray, he told me, ‘Akshay you should do this role’. And I was taken aback. It is a huge deal for me to play the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. It is a huge task and I would like to say I will give my best.”
The movie will be released in Marathi, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
