“I Want To Take A Break” – Aamir Khan Steps Down From Acting In Champions Movie?

Aamir Khan’s last movie Laal Singh Chaddha, unfortunately, failed to make a mark at the box office.

And as per latest reports, he’s backed out of acting in his next project Champions – the Indian adaptation of the Spanish film, Campeones.

After multiple meetings, the LSC actor and Sony decided that though he will continue being the producer for the film, he’ll take a step back from acting here. The adaptation will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions with Sony Pictures International Productions and 200 Not Out Productions.

“I want to take a break. I want to be with my family, I want to be with my mom and my kids. I am looking forward to the next year, year-and-a-half in which I am not working as an actor.”- he said

A fresh face will be roped in for this sports film by 2022-end allegedly. The makers are targeting a 2023 year-end release.
