Producer Madhu Mantena’s Ramayana is said to star Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
It will be directed by Chhichhore fame Nitesh Tiwari and Mom fame Ravi Udyawar.
As per previous reports, along with Deepika Padukone, Shyam Singha Roy star Sai Pallavi’s name was also doing the rounds for the role of Sita.
Mantena recently told Pinkvilla that the script of the project will be complete in a few months and Ramayana will go on floors from September next year.
Earlier in the year, news had gone viral that Ranbir (who is to play Ram) and Hrithik (who will essay the role of Ravana) are reportedly being paid to the tune of 75 CRORES each!
Meanwhile, Prabhas-Kriti Sanon ‘Adipurush’ is also based on the Ramayan epic but it has been receiving flak for its poor VFX.
