After Mr Lele (now Govinda Naam Mera) Varun Dhawan has again been replaced.
Dhawan was supposed to headline Ikkis; Sriram Raghavan’s biopic on Param Vir Chakra awardee Arun Khetarpal.
However, Dhawan had backed out due to multiple delays in the project. “I’ve begged him (Sriram) that he should make it with someone else. I might play some other part in it if I have to. My thing is, how do I play a 21-year-old now?” – Varun had commented.
Now, finally, Raghavan has found a fresh face to take Ikkis forward. Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda will be playing the titular role. Legendary actor Dharmendra too has been roped in to play a prominent role.
The project will start shooting sometime next year. Meanwhile, Agastya will be making his debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.
