Salaam Venky 1st day box office collection has been underwhelming sadly.
Starring Kajol and Vishal Jethwa in the lead, the movie is based on the true story of Kolavennu Venkatesh, who suffered from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Though the film has received positive word of mouth, it didn’t translate into theatre footfalls. Salaam Venky struggled to cross even 1 crore and collected only 60 lakh on its opening day reportedly.
Directed by Revathi, Salaam Venky is a heartwarming tale of a mother-son duo. Venky (Vishal) a terminally ill patient wishes to be euthanized and donate his organs. His mother (Kajol) is then tasked with the uphill legal battle of fulfilling her son’s request.
