20-year-old Tunisha Sharma had died by suicide on the sets of her TV show Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul on December 24.
No suicide note was recovered at the tragic incident. Her postmortem was done at JJJ Hospital. Her funeral was held at the Mira road crematorium around 3 pm today.
Actors like Shivin Narang, Vishal Jethwa, Kanwar Dhillon, Ashnoor Kaur, Roshni Walia and Sweety Walia came to Tunisha’s last rites to pay their respects along with Tunisha’s mother and sister. Tunisha’s uncle carried out her last rites.
Sheezan Khan’s mother and sister also arrived at the funeral.
Tunisha’s co-star and ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan was arrested after Tunisha’s mother filed an FIR for abetment to suicide. He had broken up with her 15 days prior to her death, as he was disturbed by the ‘atmosphere in the country’ after Shraddha Walker’s death. No love jihad or blackmail angle is suspected in the case as of now.
Tunisha has also had a history of depression and anxiety and was on medication around 2018. May she rest in peace.
Sheezan’s sister said – “The investigation is underway. All I want to say is everyone is doing their work. We are cooperating, Sheezan is cooperating. Trust me, the truth will come out. There will be no injustice to anyone. I have full faith in the law…Tunisha was very dear to me too.”
