Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor’s horror-com Stree was a hit at the box office with a collection crossing 180 crores.
Amar Kaushik, who helmed the 1st part, will also be directing Stree 2. Shraddha and Rajkummar will be resuming their roles in the sequel.
The film is currently in pre-production and will go on floors in July 2023. The script too has almost been finalized. Varun Dhawan as Bhediya will be making a cameo in Stree 2.
“Stree 2 would be the first film where characters of the horror universe start jumping into each other’s narrative. While Bhediya also had a brief appearance from Stree team, it was merely in the end credit sequence and not a part of screenplay,” a source revealed to a portal.
Another addition to Dinesh Vijan’s horror-com verse is – Munjha, starring Sharvari Wagh in the lead.
