Fallout between Ayan Mukerji & Karan Johar over Brahmastra 2 & 3?
Rumours are rife that Ayan has allegedly moved out of Dharma Productions with the Brahmastra franchise and decided to make the sequels with a different banner.
As Bollywood Hungama reported, Ayan announced the release dates of Brahmastra 3 & 3 without discussing with KJo and it apparently left Karan heart-broken.
As the report further claims, Ayan didn’t even mention or tag Karan or Dharma Productions on his announcement and it hasn’t gone down too well with the filmmaker.
However, the latest report states otherwise. According to HT, the reports of a fallout between KJo & Ayan are NOT true.
A source close to both of them has rubbished the ongoing reports and said –
“This is not true. It is a gossip mongering piece which is trying to create a rift between the two. The two very much have the same bond which they have had until now. Ayan has given Karan a big hit, and the latter has been a big support to him, right from launching him as a director with Wake Up! Sid. Brahmastra was a big film, made possible only by the complete faith the two showed in each other.”
Reportedly, Ayan Mukerji holds the IP (intellectual property) rights of the Brahmastra franchise, which is why he can approach other producers to bankroll. Both Ayan & Karan are yet to comment on this matter.
