Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Karan Johar‘s upcoming directorial – Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
And now, we hear that the actor has reportedly replaced Vicky Kaushal in THIS big project.
If this Peeping Moon report is to be believed, Ranveer is said to be in talks to play the lead role – Ashwatthama, son of Dronacharya, who was cursed with immortality – in the big-budget sci-fi film, The Immortal Ashwatthama.
Directed by Aditya Dhar (Uri fame), the film was initially headlined by Vicky.
Reportedly, Dhar is in advance talks with Ranveer and wants to take his ambitious project on floors later this year. While is is claimed that Singh has given his nod to this project, he is yet to sign the dotted line.
According to reports, he will be paired opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Earlier, Sara Ali Khan was supposed the play the female lead in this film. However, the casting is yet to be confirmed.

It’s a big theatrical project about a larger-than-life character, and Ranveer doesn’t want to pass up the opportunity to play such a legendary role. He has given his nod and is expected to sign on the dotted line as soon as all the formalities are completed.”

If Ranveer agrees to do the role, he will have to undergo a major physical transformation and will be trained in various forms of martial arts, archery techniques, sword fighting to get into skin of the mythological character.

For the unversed, The Immortal Ashwatthama has undergone various changes over the past 2 years. The film was allegedly shelved due to high budget and financial issues. While Vicky is no longer a part of the movie, producer Ronnie Screwvala has also backed out due the huge budget.
