Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan sequel is slated to hit the theatres on 28 April.

As per TOI report, PS-2’s advance booking has crossed Rs 6 crores in Tamil Nadu and 11 crores worldwide gross!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen in an important double role in the sequel. The cast features big stars like Vikram, Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The stunning soundtrack of Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been composed by music maestro AR Rahman.
Part 2 will continue with the political conspiracy for the Chola throne between Madhuranthakan Devar and Aditha Karikalan. It will reveal the mystery behind Oomai Rani, her connection to Arulmozhi and his journey towards becoming the Chola empire’s greatest ruler Rajaraja Chola I.
PS2 will also see an intense face-off between ex-lovers Nandini and Aditha and her revenge for the death of Veerpandiyan. As well as the blossoming love story between Vanthiyathevan and Kundavai.
