Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt have allegedly been roped in to headline Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayana.
The couple will play Lord Ram and Sita reportedly. KGF star Yash had been approached for the role of Raavan, but he has turned it down, as per sources.
Why Did Yash Turn Down Raavan Role?
As per News18 article, a source revealed that Yash kept his fanbase’s expectations in mind and since they would not like him in a villain role, he respected their sentiments and declined the Raavan role.
Hrithik Roshan Also Declined The Part Of Raavan –
Before Yash, Hrithik Roshan’s name was doing the rounds on the Internet to play the part of Raavan. However, Roshan too had turned down this antagonist role – as he wanted to stay away from negative roles after Vikram Vedha underperformed.
