Satyaprem Ki Katha released on the occasion of Eid al-Adha and opened to positive response from fans and critics alike.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the movie also stars Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao among others.
Satyaprem Ki Katha Box Office Collection Day 2:
The musical love story ditched the traditional Friday release and hit theatres on Thursday. The film opened to collection of Rs 9.25 crores, making Kartik‘s 3rd highest opener after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Love Aaj Kal.
However, the film witnessed a slight drop on its collection on Friday since it was a working day.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Satyaprem Ki Katha earned Rs 7 crores on Friday, taking the total collection to Rs 16.25 crores in two days.
Day 1: ₹9.25 Cr
Day 2: ₹7 Cr
Total: ₹16.25 CRORES!
