Renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra is set to make his directorial debut!
As per reports, it is being rumoured that he will be helming the biopic of Tragedy Queen Meena Kumari!
The project is currently in the scripting stage. The late Meena Kumari was one of the iconic actresses of Indian cinema – with a career spanning 90 films like Baiju Bawra, Parineeta, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam and Kaajal.

Meena Kumari died tragically at the young age of 38, from liver cirrhosis that occurred due to her alcoholism. Kriti Sanon has reportedly been roped in to play Meena Kumari in her biopic.
Sanon was last seen in the mythological film Adipurush. She will next be also seen in the female-led film The Crew, Ganpath Part 1 with Tiger Shroff and an untitled rom-com with Shahid Kapoor.
