Recently, it was reported that Manish Malhotra is making his directorial debut with a biopic on the late Meena Kumari.
It was also rumoured that Kriti Sanon would essay the role of the Tragedy Queen in this project. However, Meena Kumari’s family is not happy and is planning on taking legal action against them!
Meena Kumari’s stepson Tajdar Amrohi said, “Some industrywalas have become absolutely bankrupt and thieves .They have no right to barge in and step into my territory and domain. They are not just thieves but also DACOITS .”
He has not given his consent for this project! He and his sister Rushksar are planning on filing a suit. As per TOI report, Tajdar also commented – “Kriti is a good actress but she should avoid the role to keep her reputation intact.”
An official biopic is in the works which already has Amrohi’s consent and he said that they’re planning on making a big announcement for that. But he hasn’t consented to Manish Malhotra’s version.
