On this special day, let’s revisit the time when Katrina became the first ever Indian celebrity to have a Barbie doll modeled after her.
Back in 2009, the Tiger 3 actress had walked the runway at the Lakme Fashion Week – wearing the winning dress designed by Nishka Lulla – for the Barbie All Doll’D Up Show to celebrate Barbie’s 50th birthday.
On the very same day, the toy-making company named Mattel India honoured her with a ‘Katrina Kaif Barbie Doll’. The doll was also dressed in the same outfit as the one Katrina was wearing during her ramp walk.
Talking about it, she had reportedly said –
“Like all young girls, I too have grown up with Barbie. She is the ultimate fashion icon.”
