Kareena Kapoor Khan Jaane Jaan movie release date is out! Directed by Sujoy Ghosh (Kahaani fame), the film marks Bebo’s OTT debut on Netflix.
Jaane Jaan also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. On Friday, Netflix dropped a first-look video, giving a sneak-peek into the characters, along with the release date. Mark your calendars as the movie will be out on Bebo’s birthday.
The 35-second clip introduces us to the dark-twisted world of this thriller movie. The video opens with Kareena singing the iconic song ‘Jaane Jaan’ in a dark room. Jaideep dons in a never-seen-before avatar, while Vijay plays the role of a handsome police officer in this movie.
The movie is produced by Sujoy along with Jay Shewakramani, Akshai Puri and Thomas Kim.
Set in Kalimpong, West Bengal, Jaane Jaan is an official adaptation of popular Japanese author Keigo Higashino’s novel – ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’.
The novel revolves around the story of divorced, single mother who accidentally kills her abusive ex-husband.
Talking about the movie, Sujoy said in a statement –
“Jaane Jaan is based on the book which has been the love of my life for a long long time. From the day I read Devotion of Suspect X, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read and today thanks to Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay that story is alive on screen. We all worked very hard to tell this story and hopefully, the audience will love it as much as we do.”
