On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2023, Akshay Kumar announced his next, Sky Force movie. The movie also marks the Bollywood debut of Veer Pahariya.
Directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, Sky Force will be produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande.
Based on the ‘true story of India’s first and deadliest air strike’, Sky Force is set around the 1965 India-Pakistan war.
The 55-second announcement video stars with a voiceover threatening India ahead of the 1965 war. The text in the video reads –
“Muhammad Ayub Khan, president of Pakistan, 6th September 1965, India-Pakistan war.” It was followed by an old video of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri responding to the threat. Next, the words in the video read, “The untold true story of India’s first and deadliest air strike.”

In cinemas on 2nd October 2024!
Sharing the release date announcement video, Akshay Kumar captioned it –
“No better day than today to announce the incredible story of #SkyForce: Our untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike. Give it love, please. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, Sky Force takes flight in cinemas on 2nd October, 2024.”
Who Is Veer Pahariya?
Veer Pahariya, is a Mumbai-based artist with a lifelong passion for performance. He is the son of the renowned businessman Sanjay Pahariya and the grandson of the famous Indian politician Sushilkumar Shinde.
For the unversed, Veer has also been known as Sara Ali Khan‘s ex. Reportedly, the duo ended their relationship before her Bollywood debut.
On Karan Johar’s infamous chat show Koffee With Karan S7, Sara appeared with Janhvi Kapoor and KJo spilled some beans about their dating life. It was revealed that Sara had dated Veer, while Janhvi was in a relationship with his sibling Shikhar Pahariya.
