The soulful Papa Meri Jaan song from Animal was released today. The video stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead.

The track has been sung by Sonu Nigam. The music director for the song is Harshavardhan Rameshwar and the lyrics are by Raj Shekhar.
The emotional track showcases a troubled father-son bond between the characters of Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. Even though the father is constantly absent in his life, the son is unquestionably devoted to the father.

One can see RK’s character in the song always seeking his father’s approval. It has already been previously established that this is somewhat of an abusive bond. He’s always ready to take on any threat to his father, in spite of the distance between them.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (Arjun Reddy & Kabir Singh fame), Animal also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Triptii Dimri in key roles. It is a gangster drama that revolves around the toxic relationship between a father (played by Anil) and son (played by Ranbir Kapoor).

In cinemas on 1st December 2023 (in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam).
Before Papa Meri Jaan, Satranga and Hua Main were released from the Animal album. They were received warmly by the audience.
Previously, Animal was slated to hit theatres on 11 August 2023 clashing with OMG 2 and Gadar 2. However, the film got postponed.
To Clash With Sam Bahadur
The gangster drama is now set to clash with Vicky Kaushal starrer Sam Bahadur. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the biopic on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in key roles.
