Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Sam Bahadur is a biographical war drama that chronicles the 4-decade-long illustrious military career of the legendary army man, Sam Manekshaw. He was India’s first Field Marshal.

The movie stars Vicky Kaushal as the Manekshaw, Sanya Malhotra as his wife, Silloo and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the former Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi.

Sam Bahadur Box Office Collection Day 2:

As per reports, the biographical war drama had an overall 46% Hindi occupancy on the second day. The film witnessed a decent opening in cinemas.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Sam Bahadur raked in Rs 9 CRORES on Saturday, taking the total box office collection to Rs 15.25 CRORES in two days.

“#SamBahadur JUMPS on Day 2 [Sat], with key metros recording EXCELLENT footfalls… A bigger number on Day 3 [Sun] is clearly on the cards… Fri 6.25 cr, Sat 9 cr. Total: ₹ 15.25 cr. #India biz. The real test begins tomorrow: the make-or-break Day 4 [Mon]… It needs to stay super-steady at its best-performing centres to leave a mark.”

Day 1 : ₹6.25 cr

Day 2: ₹ 9 cr

Total : ₹15.25 CRORES!

Vicky’s film is facing a tough competition from Ranbir Kapoor-led Animal. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the gangster-drama also released in theatres on the same day.
