2023 has been a great year for the OTT space it saw many Bollywood stars also making their debut on the web space.
But what has also been great is that the storytelling has only evolved with the many shows and films that were released on the digital medium.
And while the platform has something for everyone, the actors also made sure they excelled in the performances they gave. Be it Kareena in Jaane Jaan, Tabu in Khufiya, or even Gagan Dev Riar in Scam: 2003, the award jury has a tough choice to make this year. Having said that, we have 5 best performances that took the acting level on OTT a notch higher.
1.Tabu in Khufiya
Tabu, Ali Fazal, and Wamiqa Gabbi’s espionage thriller directed by Vishal Bhardwaj surely keeps you at the edge of your seat. The Netflix film is so gripping that you will not be able to get up until you finish the full movie. But what is also great is Tabu’s layered performance, whether it is her baggage or her professional dilemma, the actress has excelled in every frame.
2.Gagan Dev Riar in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story
Gagan Dev Riar starrer Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, has been released in two parts on Sony LIV and it will have you binge-watch in one go. Directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Applause Entertainment, Scam 2003 is based on a real-life story about India’s stamp paper scam and it is a must-watch. In fact, for a debut Gagan’s portrayal of Abdul Karim Telgi is just flawless, many critics called him a natural actor and hailed him as a force to reckon with.
3. Kareena Kapoor Khan in Jaane Jaan
Marking Kareena Kapoor Khan’s debut in the OTT space, Jaane Jaan makes it to this list for its stellar performances from Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma too. Amazing actors telling an amazing story will not let you blink even for a second. Watch this on Netflix, because it shows Bebo in a light she has never been seen before in, not only this, Kareena’s performance is clap-worthy.

4. Sobhita Dhulipala in Made In Heaven Season 2
The Emmy-nominated show Made In Heaven Season 2 brought on more troubles for our favorite wedding planners, but what we also saw, was Sobhita’s character Tara shine through and through. From highlighting her fight with her conscience to appearing more fierce than before Sobihta owned this season of Made in Heaven.
5. Jim Sarbh in Rocket Boys 2
Jim Sarbh gained a new level of fandom after he portrayed the role of Dr. Homi Bhabha in Rocket Boys. The series surely has been completed, but it is still fondly remembered for the performances that Jim, Ishwak Singh, and Saba Azad delivered.
