Storyline:
Kavya (Vidya Balan) and Ani (Pratik Gandhi) are college sweethearts who get married, rebelling against the former’s family. 12 years later, the passionate flame of young love has dimmed for the two, and their marriage has been stuck in a rut.
Inside the house, they live a passive existence, more like quiet roommates rather than a married couple. But they both find love outside their relationship – Kavya with the handsome albeit slightly pretentious photographer Vikram (Sendhil Ramamurthy) and Ani with Nora (Ileana D’Cruz), an aspiring actress.
But the old passion reignites after Kavya and Ani spend quality time with each other while attending a funeral. Watch Do Aur Do Pyaar to see how these 4 lost souls get intricately intertwined, creating a chaotic mess!

Do Aur Do Pyaar Movie Review:
For a film about adultery, Do Aur Do Pyaar is surprisingly very sweet and wholesome. The characters are all endearing, real and flawed. It mixes passion with compassion, with a slight dash of comic relief (mostly Pratik Gandhi’s work).
The drama is so well-written, you get invested and care about the characters and hope that they find the appropriate resolution to their problems. The humour is sprinkled just the right amount, with some really well-done situational comedy, that will leave you chuckling.
Adultery is a tricky topic indeed but the film just has so much heart in it and explores the subject gracefully without being lewd. One cannot help but be won over!
Pratik and Vidya take the center stage with their passive silences, witty banter, and heavy confrontation scenes. The duo matches each other’s energy level quite well. They have adequate chemistry with Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy respectively.
Do Aur Do Pyaar Movie Review:
Pratik switches between the humour and drama with flawless ease. He is on a roll! After a winning performance in Madgaon Express, the actor gets a meaty role in Do Aur Do Pyaar and delivers perfectly. Vidya Balan is dependable as always.
Ileana D’Cruz and Sendhil provide great support to Pratik and Vidya; their roles are fleshed out smartly, making one empathize with the characters. Sendhil is utterly charming in Do Aur Do Pyaar and Ileana as the quirky Nora adds on to the entertainment.
Hit Or Miss:
Worth watching in the theatres. If you find yourself bored of massy actioners and patriotic films, this slow-burn, heartfelt romantic drama is just the right dose you need.
