The Indian industrialist and philanthropist, who served as chairman of Tata Group and Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86 after prolonged illness.

He had been admitted into the hospital due to his age-related medical conditions. Tata’s family in a statement said, “We take solace and comfort in the outpouring of love and respect from all who admired him. While he is no longer with us in person, his legacy of humility, generosity and purpose will continue to inspire future genrerations.”
The late Ratan Tata was awarded two of India’s highest civilian honors: the Padma Bhushan (2000) and Padma Vibhushan (2008).

Arjun Kapoor posted with a picture of young Ratan Tata – “Rest in peace Mr Tata. You shaped our country and many lives in it by just being devoted to enriching others… Thank u for everything.”

Shraddha Kapoor wrote – “Sir Ratan Tata showed us that true success is measured by the lives we touch. Grateful for his inspiration, and for teaching us to lead with kindness. True legacies are built on what we leave behind… Thank you for everything, Sir 🙏🏼”
Salman Khan said – “Deeply saddened by the passing of Mr Ratan Tata.”
Vicky Kaushal wrote – “Never could meet him… but adored, admired and respected everything he said and did for the society. Lost a legend. May his soul rest in peace.“

Thank you for your unmatched passion and dedication for everything you did for our country. You have been an inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed, Sir.”

Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram Stories to share a picture of the late Ratan Tata and wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic news of Shri Ratan Tata. He upheld the values of integrity, grace & dignity through everything he did & was truly an icon & Taj of India. RIP Sir, You have touched so many lives.”
