Producer Nikhil Dwivedi recently took to Instagram to share an exciting update. Posting a picture of the script for Nagin on his Instagram Stories, he captioned it: “मकर संक्रांति & Finally..,” hinting at the film’s imminent commencement.

In an earlier interview, Nikhil had expressed his confidence in Shraddha Kapoor being the perfect choice for the role. “The only person I really thought of was Shraddha because I think she is one of the few actresses we have who has this unique quality of being a girl next door and can turn into a very sensuous woman the next day if she wants to,” he shared.
Shraddha herself has spoken about her excitement for the role. In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), she wrote, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring, and idolizing Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore.”
