Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari 2 fell just short of the ₹50 crore milestone in its opening week, following a dip in weekday box office collections. However, the film is anticipated to recover its momentum over the weekend.
According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the weekday performance has been encouraging, helping to “set the stage for a strong second weekend.”

Urban multiplexes are expected to play a major role in boosting the film’s overall earnings. With no significant releases scheduled until Thursday, May 1, Kesari 2 has a clear window to maximize its box office potential. As per reports, Kesari 2, which hit theatres on April 18, earned ₹3.45 crore net on its seventh day, Thursday. The film saw a 4.17% dip from Wednesday, which had already marked a 28% drop in collections.
The steepest decline came on Monday, when the film’s earnings plummeted by a significant 62.5%.Despite the fluctuations, Kesari 2 maintained a steady run over its first week, bringing in a total of ₹46.05 crore—falling just ₹4 crore short of the ₹50 crore milestone.

On Thursday, average theatre occupancy stood at 11.67%, with a gradual increase throughout the day—from 6.53% in the morning to 17.98% by the night shows.
Akshay Kumar’s Kesari 2 has performed well at the global box office, crossing the ₹70 crore gross mark within its first week.
According to Sacnilk, the film has earned ₹70.7 crore worldwide, including ₹20 crore from international markets and ₹50.7 crore gross from domestic collections in India.
