For those who may not remember, Sooraj made his Bollywood debut in Hero (2015), starring opposite Athiya Shetty. Since working together, Sooraj and Athiya have remained on good terms. .
When asked whether he had met Athiya’s husband KL Rahul, Sooraj replied warmly, “I have, before he was married to Athiya Shetty. Before he was married to her, KL was my friend too.”
It is clear that Sooraj holds KL Rahul in high regard. He went on to say something that felt both personal and sincere.
“One of the best guys Athiya could have married. I wish my sister gets a husband like him,” he added.
Sooraj’s sister, Sana Pancholi, prefers to stay away from the public eye, but the actor has often spoken about his close bond with her. Sooraj places immense importance on finding a life partner with the right qualities for her, and KL Rahul, in Sooraj’s view, is someone who sets that standard.

When asked what makes him feel this way about the cricketer, Sooraj kept it simple.
“He’s such a genuine guy. Such a nice guy. I’m sure he’s a good husband and a good father too.”
