EXCLUSIVE: I Don’t Want Him To Make Movies Like The 90s – Says Govinda’s Wife Sunita
Sunita did not hold back. Govinda may have ruled the 90s with his unbeatable comic timing and dancing skills, but times have changed and Sunita is very aware of that.
“He is now thinking of making his own films. But I don’t want him to make movies like the 90s. That era is over. Today’s subjects… you see where cinema is going today. I want him to watch Netflix, OTT, and see what’s trending.”

According to Sunita, the problem is that Govinda refuses to adapt to the changing tastes of the audience.

“But he doesn’t watch it. He doesn’t accept it. He will take some useless music director, some writer, someone people don’t even know. If you surround yourself with such people, what will you learn? They’ll only demotivate you.”

EXCLUSIVE: “He Gets Angry That I Say The Truth To His Face” – Says Govinda’s Wife Sunita
There is clear frustration in her voice, a concern not just as a wife but as someone who genuinely wants to see him succeed again. She believes that the people around him are not helping his cause, and she is not afraid to say it.
“He gets angry that I speak the truth to his face. But you are not giving me money, so why should I flatter you? I am not here to flatter anyone.”
She believes Govinda’s inner circle may not always have his best interests at heart.
“Those people’s homes run on your money, whether it is your priest, your lawyer, your secretary, your writer, your director, your musician. You pay them. That is why they will say ‘wah-wah’ to you. You need a big heart to hear the truth.”
Her words are raw, honest, and straight from the heart. Clearly, Sunita wants Govinda to evolve with the times, work with newer talent, and be open to modern storytelling. But it is easier said than done when you are a legend used to doing things your own way.
Whether Govinda will take her advice or not remains to be seen, but one thing is clear. Sunita is not afraid to say what others will not. And in a world full of yes-men, that is a voice worth listening to.
