EXCLUSIVE: “I’d Ask Him, ‘Are You Having an Affair?'” – Govinda’s Wife Sunita!
In a candid and light-hearted chat with Instant Bollywood, Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood star Govinda, opened up about how she handled the highs and lows of being married to a film star, especially when rumours were flying thick and fast during Govinda’s acting days.

Sunita has always come across as confident and grounded, and her recent interview only confirms that. When asked about dealing with insecurity, especially considering how glamorous and unpredictable the film industry can be, Sunita gave a refreshingly honest response.

She admitted that she is naturally a little possessive. But even then, she never allowed herself to spiral into overthinking.
Recalling how gossip columns would link Govinda with his co-stars, she shared, “Govinda and I were like friends. I used to ask, ‘Hey, are you having an affair? Because it’s coming in the papers’.”

Govinda’s reaction was classic. According to Sunita, “He’d say, ‘What nonsense, I was shooting.’ I would say, ‘I don’t trust you. How would the papers write it then?’ He’d reply, ‘Stop reading the papers. I come home straight after shooting.If they don’t write all that, how will the papers sell otherwise?’”
Even while teasing him, she never let the gossip affect her peace of mind for too long. Sunita also revealed the simple secret behind her calm attitude.
“I never overthink anything. At that time, my kids were small, so my time used to pass. I’m not ready to ruin my health for anyone. I take care of my health.”
