Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna made cinematic history in 2025 with Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar. Now, the pair is gearing up to reunite for Atlee’s upcoming film.
However, in an unexpected twist, Rashmika has been roped in to portray the antagonist in the film, titled A6.
Sources have confirmed that Rashmika Mandanna had the option to portray the antagonist in either A6 or another major pan-India project. After reviewing both roles, she made the difficult decision to join Atlee’s upcoming film, as it offered her an opportunity to explore a new and challenging space in her acting journey.
The actress has already completed her look test for A6 and is scheduled to begin filming in October. She recently travelled to Los Angeles with director Atlee and co-star Allu Arjun, where the pre-visualization of her character reportedly blew her away. Rashmika is said to be thrilled about working with Atlee, whom she considers one of the most impactful filmmakers of this generation. Her portrayal of a villain marks a significant shift from her previous collaborations with Allu Arjun in the Pushpa films.
According to insiders, Rashmika will be involved in intense face-off scenes with a stellar cast that includes Allu Arjun, Deepika Padukone, Mrunal Thakur, and Janhvi Kapoor. The film is currently in production and is slated for a 2027 release. Touted as one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious projects to date, A6 will feature global talent and aims to deliver a cinematic experience on the scale of Avatar.
