Spoiler Alert: The section below reveals key plot details. Only read if you’ve watched the film.
War 2 Storyline:
Major Kabir Dhaliwal (Hrithik Roshan) used to be India’s top intelligence agent, gone rogue. He shocks everyone by killing Colonel Luthra (Ashutosh Rana) and joining a deadly terror group called Kali.
The new RAW chief (Anil Kapoor) assigns talented but eccentric Major Vikram (Jr NTR) to bring Kabir down. Joining the mission is Commander Kavya (Kiara Advani) – Luthra’s daughter, and Kabir’s ex.
But here’s where it gets interesting. Kabir and Vikram actually have a personal history. Back in the day, they were childhood friends struggling to escape poverty. Vikram’s real name was Raghu. When Kabir was handpicked by Luthra for an elite Army program, Raghu was left behind, growing bitter and vowing revenge.
Fast forward to now – the two meet again, this time on opposite sides. Cue the intense cat-and-mouse chases and high-octane fights.
Then comes the interval twist– turns out, Vikram isn’t exactly the hero RAW thinks he is. He’s been secretly working for Kali all along. And Kabir? Despite looking like the villain on paper, he’s actually undercover, trying to destroy Kali from the inside.

War 2 Ending Explained:

In the big finale, Kali plans to assassinate the Prime Minister. While Kavya and the new RAW chief handle that part, Kabir and Vikram/Raghu face off. It’s an emotional, brutal fight. Kabir fatally wounds Raghu… but before things end, the two make peace.
Here’s the clever part – the official story says Vikram was martyred and Kabir was behind the PM attack. But in reality, both are alive, reunited as friends, and dismantling the Kali network together as shadow agents.
And yes, for the romantics, Kabir and Kavya find their way back to each other by the end.
