“The first is Khatu Shyam Ji Temple. I’ve been going there since childhood, so I have a deep emotional connection. Even if nothing ‘happens,’ just being there makes me feel lighter, like my burdens are gone,” she says.

But it’s not just any temple, it’s a place where faith and emotional connection meet. “Whenever I reach Khatu Shyam Ji, I feel everything will be okay, everything will get better. It’s like a mental reset,” she shares.

The second temple that left a lasting impression on her is Kamakhya Devi Temple, known for its celebration of feminine power.
“In Kamakhya Temple….the very thing society often makes women feel weak about is worshipped there. You feel how powerful that place is,” Jaya explains. “It reminds you of your own strength, ability, and talent.”
She adds with conviction, “Someone may call you weak or fragile. They may say, ‘Oh, girls are so tender.’ But in Kamakhya, you feel, no, I am a warrior. I am Kali.”
