In a recent chat with Instant Bollywood, spiritual speaker, singer and motivational life coach Jaya Kishori opened up about her thoughts on astrology and numerology, and her take is quite practical.

She admitted that her faith in them is ‘okay-okay’, largely because she doesn’t know enough about it.
“These are proper subjects, authentic sciences, mentioned in our scriptures,” she said, “but how many people can genuinely explain them? Who is just entangling You And giving instructions to ‘wear this’ or ‘do that’? That’s what I don’t fully trust.”

Jaya’s approach is rooted in common sense and a strong work ethic, instilled by her father from childhood. He always told her not to rely on charms or rituals for success.
“The day you start believing your success comes from these, your focus will shift away from hard work,” she explained. And that is exactly how she lives her life, focusing on studying, researching, and putting in effort rather than hoping a ritual will magically make things happen.
She sees astrology not as a shortcut but as a guide. For instance, if someone looks at her horoscope and says, “The next six months will be bad for you,” she doesn’t take it literally. Instead, she prepares herself mentally for challenges.
“I allow astrology into my life only to that extent,” she said. “If it’s written as a good time, that means I have to work, and the result of that work will come more quickly, more positively than usual. The stars may be aligned in such a way that whatever I do, the results show instantly. But the work is still mine to do, right?”

“For me, astrology is very scientific. My only doubt is whether everyone really knows this science or not. That’s where my hesitation lies.”
Jaya treats astrology like a science but approaches it cautiously. She avoids sharing personal details with just anyone and only consults someone she trusts who treats it seriously.
At the end of the day, her message is quite simple and relatable. Astrology and numerology can offer guidance, but nothing replaces dedication, hard work, and a clear focus.
