“You should earn money. Not because money is everything, but so that you can truly understand that money is not everything,” she said with a smile.

Jaya isn’t shy about her belief that wealth and spirituality can coexist. “I always say earn money – it’s good. It allows you a luxurious life. Like, if I have to cry, I’d rather cry in a Mercedes,” she quipped.

For Jaya, money isn’t about greed; it’s about responsibility. “I have my parents, I have my sister. In the future, I’ll have a husband, I’ll have children. I want a good life for all of them. And I don’t want to depend on anyone else,” she explained.

Jaya Kishori On Work & Money – Earn Enough For Comfort, But Not At The Cost Of Connection!

She believes earning money is a way of fulfilling her duties toward her loved ones. “Just because I’m a spiritual speaker doesn’t mean I’m not also a daughter, a sister, a future wife, a future mother,” she said, adding that if she truly wanted to renounce material life, she would have taken vairagya, the path of detachment.

But balance, she says, is the real key. Jaya makes sure her work doesn’t rob her of time with family. “I don’t want to work like a mad machine for 20–30 years and then say, ‘Now it’s your time.’ By then, maybe either I won’t be here or they won’t be here.”

Her approach is simple: earn enough for comfort, but not at the cost of connection. Because as she puts it, life isn’t about choosing between money and love; it’s about knowing how much of each is enough.
