Ek Din is reportedly a remake of the Thai film One Day. The original follows a woman who suffers from a rare form of temporary amnesia, and a shy colleague who pretends they are a couple so he can live out his dream, even if only briefly. If the remake stays true to this premise, get ready for laughter, warmth and heartbreak all rolled into one.
For Junaid Khan, this film is an important step forward after his OTT debut Maharaj received praise, while his theatrical debut Loveyapa failed to impress at the box office. Sai Pallavi, meanwhile, continues to be a powerhouse performer and will also be seen as Sita in Ramayan Part 1 alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Yash.
