This time, Hrithik Roshan isn’t just returning as India’s favourite superhero. He’s also stepping behind the camera for the first time as a director. And with that comes a massive vision. Hrithik wants Krrish 4 to look and feel like a global superhero film, packed with next-level VFX, international-standard action sequences, and a scale that can stand shoulder to shoulder with Hollywood.
For that dream, he’s reportedly pushing for a ₹500 crore budget. And that’s where the trouble starts.

Krrish 4 Director Hrithik Roshan Wants 500-Crore Budget, Aditya Chopra Pushes For 350-Crore
Producer Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films are playing it safe. From their point of view, a ₹500 crore investment is a huge gamble, even with a franchise as popular as Krrish. The studio wants to keep the budget close to ₹350 crore so the risk factor stays under control.
Big vision vs safe budget!
Since neither side is ready to budge yet, Krrish 4 has been put on the back burner. The film was earlier expected to go on floors in early 2026, but that timeline now looks shaky. Hrithik is said to be exploring other studio options or even tweaking the script to find a middle ground that works for everyone.
Hrithik wants to go big. The producers want to play smart. Until they meet somewhere in the middle, Krrish fans will need to hold on to their patience a little longer. After all, if India’s biggest superhero is returning, maybe it’s worth the wait.
