Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi Actress Payal Ghosh had levelled #MeToo allegations of sexual misconduct at filmmaker Anurag Kashyap.
She had also filed an FIR at Versova Police Station alleging rape, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of a woman.
Now, Mumbai Police has summoned film director Anurag Kashyap to appear at Versova Police station tomorrow, Thursday at 11 am, in connection with the alleged sexual assault case filed by Payal Ghosh.
Anurag Kashyap had earlier released a statement, terming the allegations against him as ‘baseless’, ‘a mere tool for character assassination’ and ‘undermining the #MeToo Movement’.
On Tuesday, Payal even met with Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, to appeal for Y Plus Security, claiming that her life was in threat.
