Tanvi The Great Movie Review –

Tanvi the Great is a sweet, heartfelt film that leaves you with a warm smile. At the center of it all is Shubhangi Dutt, who plays Tanvi, a young autistic girl, with an endearing charm that’s hard to ignore. She brings out Tanvi’s world so beautifully, making her feel both real and relatable. There’s a lovely honesty in her performance. She truly captures that essence of being ‘different but no less’ and she’s definitely a young star to watch out for.

One of the most touching parts of the film is Tanvi’s relationship with her grandfather, played by Anupam Kher. Their bond is the soul of the movie. It’s full of tough love, gentle moments, and quiet affection that feels deeply personal. It’s even more special when you know Kher directed the film and drew from his own life. His niece is autistic, and you can feel the care, sensitivity, and respect in the way he’s told this story.

Kher wears both hats as director and actor with confidence. His direction is mostly engaging, and he brings a certain grace and dignity to the topic. His scenes with Tanvi feel grounded and real, never overly dramatic (at least for the most part).

Tanvi The Great Movie Review –

The music is soft and pleasant, though the soundtrack feels crammed at times. The supporting cast is solid all around. Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, and Pallavi Joshi all deliver warm, grounded performances. Karan Tacker shows up briefly and makes his presence felt.

That said, the film isn’t without its bumps. Some scenes could’ve been tighter. A few moments feel like they drag on a bit too long, especially in the second half. And the emotional high in the third act does slip into melodrama territory. The ending, though heartfelt, is bit of an overkill and could’ve been handled with more restraint.

Still, Tanvi the Great is a wholesome, feel-good film that’s family-friendly and full of heart. It might not be perfect, but it’s definitely a film made with love, and that shows.
