“So much new talent is coming into the industry. Filmmakers are coming in, and their concepts are so incredible, I can’t even tell you,” she gushed.

Mrunal opened up about her experience working with Shouryuv, the director of her much-loved film Hi Nanna. And here’s the twist – he used to be a doctor. Yep, you read that right.
“Shouryuv, the one I did Hi Nanna with… he’s a 32-year-old man who was a doctor and directed a film. We never thought he’d direct such a brilliant film. What a film. What conviction.”
Talk about a career switch! Mrunal clearly admires that fearless energy and the fresh perspective that first-time directors bring to the table.

“right now, my hunger is to find filmmakers who are making their first film. I’m really enjoying it because first-time directors… their approach is something else,” she said, visibly excited.
