His daughter, actor Esha Deol, took to social media to clear the air and reassure fans. She wrote, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request that everyone give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papas speedy recovery. Esha Deol.”
Her mother and veteran actor Hema Malini also strongly condemned the rumours, calling out the media for being irresponsible. “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy,” she said.
The good news is that Dharmendra is reportedly responding well to treatment. His wife Hema Malini, sons Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and other family members visited him at the hospital last evening. Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan also dropped by to check in on the legend and show their support.
