Rohit Shetty House Firing Case: Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility, 5 Detained!
It was a shocking weekend for Bollywood, and honestly, something straight out of a crime thriller. In the early hours of Sunday, February 1, filmmaker Rohit Shetty, known for his explosive action films, found real-life danger knocking at his door. And no, this was not a movie shoot gone wrong.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but the message behind the attack was loud and clear.
Mumbai Police swung into action immediately. The area was cordoned off, security was tightened, and forensic teams were brought in to examine the firing site and collect evidence. What followed made the case even more serious.
Later, five suspects were arrested in Pune and handed over to the Mumbai Crime Branch for questioning. The detained individuals have been identified as Aman Anand Marote (27), Aditya Gyaneshwar Gayaki (19), Siddharth Deepak Yenpure (20), Samarth Shivsharan Pomaji (18), and Swapnil Bandu Sakat (23).
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility For Shooting Outside Rohit Shetty’s House
But the most chilling twist came online. A social media account linked to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang claimed responsibility for the firing. The post shared by Shubham Lonkar and Arzoo Bishnoi, issued a direct and disturbing threat. It called the firing a “trailer” and warned that the next shot would not be outside Rohit Shetty’s house, but inside his bedroom.
The post stated – “We messaged him many times not to interfere in our work, but he did not understand. This was a trailer. If he still doesn’t understand our warnings, the gun will be fired not outside his house, but inside his bedroom on his chest.”
The post also warned Bollywood to “stay within limits” or face a fate worse than Baba Siddiqui, the politician who was shot dead outside his son’s Bandra office in 2024.
“This is a warning to the entire Bollywood: stay within limits. If you do not improve, the situation will become very bad, worse than what Baba Siddiqui faced. Those we have contacted should mend their ways while there is still time. Otherwise, there will be nowhere to hide,” the post said.
Following the incident, Rohit Shetty cancelled all his scheduled plans and asked friends and colleagues not to visit his home for at least 48 hours. A source confirmed that he is fully cooperating with Mumbai Police and has recorded his statement.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is no stranger to headlines. Known for extortion, contract killings, and arms smuggling, the syndicate has been linked to several high-profile crimes, including the firing outside Salman Khan’s residence and more.
