Sonam Kapoor and husband Anand Ahuja had completed three years of blissful matrimony on the 8th of this month.
Curious to know how their proposal went, we looked around for their romantic story and turns out, it was more hilarious than romantic.
Sonam, on the talk show ‘Feet Up With The Stars’ had once revealed that not everything went smoothly on the day of the proposal. Sonam and Anand were in New York and it was that very day when Sonam was anything but cheerful. The actress also remembers PMS-ing (Premenstrual Syndrome) that day which contributed to her sour mood.
“He picked me up from my pilates class, which was a huge disaster as well, and I was really pissed off. I remember we were walking to the hotel. He had his bike… he likes to cycle… and I was walking with him. He just got down on his knee in the middle of the street in New York street and said, ‘Will you marry me?’ I was like, ‘I was such a b***h all day’,” Sonam laughs and says.
Nevertheless, we think Anand’s magical words settled Sonam’s mood very quickly because her immediate answer was a big yes!
