Vidyut Jammwal and Nandita Mahtani kept most of their relationship hush-hush but on September 1st, Vidyut popped the big question!
The two got engaged at the Taj Mahal and gave fans a surprise with a post on Instagram.
Nandita Mahtani is a fashion designer and was married to Sunjay Kapur (actress Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband) from 2001 to 2003.
In a recent interview, the actor spoke about his wedding plans and let’s just say they’re extremely interesting. Talking about his impromptu engagement he says, “I don’t plan my life. I’ve never planned my life. I never planned to be who I am today. I was working towards it. Similarly, with the engagement, it was just impromptu. I had two days off after a long time so I was like, let’s just do it.“
As for the wedding, Vidyut’s ideas touch the sky… literally. “Wedding is going to be happening exactly like this. It can’t be just regular. I’m not regular. I don’t want to do anything that’s regular. So I don’t have a date. I don’t know when it is going to happen, but I have an idea. It will be spectacularly different. Yeah, maybe we’ll try skydiving with 100 guests, all in those skydiving gear and they’ll all jump with me. That would be so cool,” he laughs.
He then spoke about liking a little imbalance in his life saying, “I think now I found the balance with everything in the right place, the body is balancing well with the wandering mind. However, I love imbalance. Without imbalance, you can’t do anything spectacular. But in this case, I am happy about striking a balance because according to the quintessential idea of perfection and living, everything is perfect. That’s the balance I’m talking about.”
On the work front, Vidyut is gearing up for the release of his latest project- Sanak, which streams on Disney+ Hotstar from October 15th.
