Earlier today (October 21), the Narcotics Control Bureau conducted a raid at actress Ananya Panday’s Mumbai residence.
The actress was summoned by the anti-drugs agency in connection with the Aryan Khan cruise ship drugs bust case.
According to NDTV, Ananya’s name has reportedly featured in the WhatsApp chats of one of the accused in the case. Meanwhile, as per India Today, NCB had allegedly retrieved her chats with Aryan from his phone during the ongoing investigation.
However, an HT report claimed that Ananya has NOT been named as a suspect and NCB has called her only to record her statement. Reportedly, the actress’s phone and laptop have been seized by the agency officials.
Now, according to the latest News18 report, Ananya Panday will be questioned again tomorrow (October 22). NCB has apparently called the actress for a second round of questioning at 11 am on Friday (October 22).
The actress was spotted leaving the NCB office, along with her actor-father Chunky Panday.
Aryan Khan Bail Update:
Meanwhile, as per TOI, the special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Court has extended the judicial custody of Aryan Khan, including Arbaaz Merchant & 6 others, till October 30. The Bombay High Court will hear Aryan’s bail plea on October 26.
