Bollywood’s superstars, Big B and Jr. Bachchan, have tested positive for coronavirus. Amitabh Bachchan shared the news of him testing positive with the audience today, at around 10 pm.
Abhishek Bachchan’s news was also confirmed by the actor himself with a tweet a while ago. Abhishek requests everyone to stay calm about this shocking situation and not panic.
“Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”
Amitabh Bachchan, 77, has reportedly been shifted to Nanavati Hospital located in Vile Parle and is now under observational quarantine. The actor had apparently been experiencing breathlessness for the past couple of days. The COVID-19 test results had come out on Saturday and Bachchan wanted to announce them himself.
“T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”
Many celebrities immediately took to Twitter to wish the Bachchans a speedy recovery!
