Durgavati’s title was recently changed to ‘Durgamati: The Myth’. The trailer of the horror flick has just dropped now.
The trailer shows a conspiracy by masterminds to frame political leader Ishwar Prasad (Arshad Warsi), for which IAS officer Chanchal Chauhan (Bhumi Pednekar) is released from jail. The investigative agency, led by actress Mahie Gill’s character, is looking to unravel the mystery of stolen idols from temples, for which Ishwar is a suspect.
When the prisoner Chanchal is whisked off to the secluded Durgamati mansion for interrogation, she gets possessed by the dead queen Durgamati and creepy stuff ensues. Jisshu Sengupta is also seen in a prominent role in the movie.
Durgamati: The Myth is the Hindi remake of the Anushka Shetty starrer ‘Bhaagamathie’. Akshay Kumar is one of the producers of the film, which is releasing on Amazon Prime Video on December 11.
