The Greek god Hrithik Roshan is all set to make his digital debut with Disney+ Hotstar.
Hrithik has been offered the Indian adaptation of the British mini-series titled ‘The Night Manager’.
According to PeepingMoon, the actor has finally signed on the dotted line and will kickstart shooting in March 2021. Starring Tom Hiddleston in the lead role, the six-part thriller had received accolades and was quite a success.
Hrithik will be seen stepping into Hiddleston‘s shoes as the luxury hotel manager and former Indian soldier who is hired by a Government agent to infiltrate the inner circle of an arms dealer.
The sources revealed that this series, which is being planned on a huge scale and as stylish as the original, has been billed as India’s most expensive Hotstar series.
Screenwriter-turned-director Sandeep Modi, who has co-directed Sushmita Sen starrer ‘Aarya’ with Ram Madhvani, will be directing this espionage thriller.
“Disney+ Hotstar was in talks with dozens of directors but finally zeroed in on Sandeep Modi who’s just two projects old. The makers were in search of a filmmaker who could do justice to this ambitious project and they believe Modi would perfectly bring out the nuances of the series that deals with a soldier-turned-hotelier-turned-spy, and his struggles to understand his contradictory, potentially self-destructive nature. He will start the pre-production for this project after finishing the work on the second season of Aarya,” the source stated.
